After many excellent purchases of sheets and comforters from the Company Store, for the first time, I am very disappointed in both the quality and look of these sheets. I fell in love with these the minute I saw them in the catalog and online. To me they look very fresh and crisp in lavender and purple (think of lilac bushes) on white. They are percale which I have bought from here before and found very comfortable. I usually prefer percale becuase it has a crisp cool feel to it and I live in the tropics so coolness is what I am after.
So I went ahead and ordered these with an extra set of solid pillow cases in a matching lilac color.

Once they arrived the first shocker was the color, not at all as described above, or depicted in photos, instead a dull antique rose and dark plum on a yellowish creamy background. I should have sent them back right then, but thought they may look better once on the bed. I also realized the "matching" set of pillow cases was a complete mismatch instead. Regardless I kept the sheets and after sewing together the two flat sheets into a comforter (the duvet cover had sold out) I washed them and put them on my bed. Sadly they simply do not look good, the colors are such a dud, but I was committed now so kept them on. They are coming off today, after a few nights, not because of the color but becuase the quality!
They are nasty to sleep on, rough textured, warm, simply not what I am accustomed to and after a few nights of bad sleep I am done.
Huge disappointment and complete waste of money I will never use these again.
