I bought this same product 3 years ago and have loved the sheets, but the fitted sheet finally got a hole so I decided to purchase a new set. But now these sheets are made of a different material than they were a few years ago. The sateen quality of the sheets is extremely uncomfortable - they are shiny and hard and feel like sandpaper on my skin. I tried sleeping on them last night and the discomfort was keeping me awake. Horrible.
A high thread-count (450 on these) is supposed to make the material soft, but that's not the case here. The sateen finish ruins them. They are well made, and I suppose if you really like that shiny slippery quality they might work for you, but I'm going to return them and buy the regular cotton sheets instead.
