I really like this quilt as it reminds me of vacations in Mexico. I love the blues and greens mixed with the neutrals. The colors in the quilt are exactly like the description, with the exception of there being a grey color patch too (visible in photo) - I love grey so not a problem for me. The blue is "slightly" more subdued than the photo appears on my monitor, yet it is still the patch that pops the most.
When I first received the quilt it seemed a bit thin and the stitching didn't stand out. I always wash things before using them though. After washing (front load washer), it fluffed up (tennis balls in dryer) and the stitching was visible. The quilt and shams look much better after washing/drying. I have a queen platform bed and the quilt has a substantial overhang on either side of the bed. The length is just right, it just covers the mattress - it would not cover any part of a boxspring. As a result, I'm not sure it would work length wise for a mattress/boxspring combo unless you have a foot board that covers the front of your bed. As for warmth, this quilt is warm! The first night we had a thin blanket between the quilt and sheets and were too warm. I was more comfortable with just the quilt and temperatures were in the 20's/30s. I'm happy with this purchase. I only gave it 4 stars for quality since it has only been washed once and we haven't had it long. FYI, quilt is made in India seems to be of nice quality.

This quilt reminds me of the trip we took to South Florida in 2011. We toured the Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in
Coral Gables,Florida. The colors and flower and leaf designs
in this quilt reminds me of all the beautiful flowers I saw at that marvelous place.
