An OKAY Purchase
Date:December 4, 2012
from Charlotte, NC
Couple of thoughts: - This bed is made by skyline and is often sold on Joss and Main, One Kings Lane and Amazon for MUCH cheaper. The reason I purchased from this site is the fact that I thought it was a bit nicer with a taller headboard and real nail heads. I OVER paid compared to the other sites where you can get the same bed from $575 - $800. - The headboard is NOT 61 inches high as noted, but 56 inches high. - The bed is very nice looking and has real (individual) nail heads, which was a concern of mine initially. The linen fabric is nice. -You will need to make sure that your mattress and box spring is a minimum of 19 inches high in order to cover the empty space underneath the headboard. -I am disappointed in the color. Customer service had told me that the Linen Smokey Quartz was a light shade of gray/silver - it is in fact a light shade of purple as it appears on the screen. - The only difficult part in putting this bed together is getting the foot board to line up with the side panels. They don't square off properly. - I was told that upon shipping they would make 3 attempts. Afterwards they would schedule a delivery time. Instead all the boxes were left on my front porch - no signature required. This would have been a huge concern had I been out of town.

Pretty bed missing hardware
Date:September 10, 2012
The bed is really pretty, and compared to other beds I've purchased and sent back it is also very nice quality. It IS made by Skyline in case you were wondering who the manufacturer is. We did have a few problems: The instructions for the base of the bed were clear and had all the necessary hardware, but the instructions for the headboard (the best part) were so vauge. There were 3 different types of bolts, but the instructions didn't specify which ones to use. Also the step of attaching the wings to the side of the headboard is completely missing. Tip: attaching them is the FIRST step and you have to use the longest bolts. Unfortunately 2 of these bolts were missing, so the wings' attachment to the headboard is shaky. THEN you are missing sets of washers, so when you attach the completed headboard to the completed frame you can only attached it with one bolt on each side. That attachment is shaky as well. The L brackets at the end are unnecessary, I'd trade them in for more washers! Pushing the finished product up against the wall helps stabilize incomplete attachments that make it wobbly. The velvet sideboards on the base don't match up, so low hanging bedding will help that. It is a really nice bed, the nail-heads are individual instead of those cheap strings of beads on some beds. The velvet is plush and it is a huge regal-looking headboard.
I'd call and request a second set of hardware after you order to avoid the wobbly construction.
