I like this blanket, which I have in the oyster color.  It is working well as an insulating layer on my bed between a linen sheet and a coverlet.  I don't overheat (which has been an issue with some comforters for me) and I do stay comfortable with cooler indoor weather (down to 60 degrees so far).  But it really is scratchy.  I'm not a particularly texture-sensitive person, wear wool clothing without an issue, but in no way would I want this next to my skin.  I've washed it twice and it isn't getting softer or less scratchy/itchy.

Although this blanket is advertised as being machine washable, be aware that the drying instructions are "tumble dry without heat".  Really?  I'm not sure how that is supposed to work in the winter.  I tried to "dry" the twin size for almost an hour before finally giving up and giving it some low heat.  I chose this blanket because I wanted the convenience of a washable wool blend, but I wouldn't call no-heat tumble drying very convenient.  The blanket is also very scratchy; although the feel improved after washing, it still doesn't feel like anything you want next to your skin.  If this blanket is kept on the other side of a good quality top sheet, it may not be too uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I purchase this for my daughter, who is very sensitive to texture.

Very soft, comfortable weight blanket for year round.   Washed beautifully and it is not scratchy at all.  Did not shrink or pill after laundering. Follow manufacture's laundering directions.  You will need to be careful if you have pets or wear jewelry to bed, otherwise, you may catch the delicate weave. Soft, beautiful weave and color pallet.

THIS BLANKET IS THE BEST BLANKET I EVER USED. IT IS SOFT, COZY AND GETS SOFTER WITH EACH WASHING. I DON'T TAKE FAITH IN CLAIMS, BUT THIS BLANKET IS ALL IT SAYS IT IS. AFTER A FEW DAYS, I NOTICED THAT I WAS WAKING UP MORE REFRESHED. I CAN'T TELL YOU THAT IT MAKES ME FEEL WARMER OR COOLER, BUT WAKING UP NOT TIRED ANYMORE IS A BLESSING! I HEARTILY RECOMMEND THIS BLANKET. GIVE IT AS A GIFT TO YOURSELF OR SOMEONE ELSE.

This is not a scratchy blanket! I've washed it several times and it gets smoother and smoother. THE BEST PART though is that I can get a good night's sleep again! I don't wake up during hot flashes anymore. AND, my husband can sleep with me again because the blanket adjusts to you individually! thank you Company Store for saving my marriage and saving my sleep!
