Bought these because husband works graveyard shift and these were advertised as blackout. He said dont get white because it wont block the light. i thought but theyre blackout! Well i got green and i am glad i did not get white. They are far from blackout. They definitely darken more than what we had before though. as for the style they are great and the green is the perfect sage green to go with other sage decor in the room. they are a nice casual curtain and work well in a room with patchwork quilt and wool woven rug. Also the green keeps them from being as cutsie as the whit would have been and i have been trying to make the room less 'cute'. i am a little annoyed that i will have to pay to dryclean a curtain that is not blackout.

These panels are described as "blackout". They are not. They are a nice, heavy-weight cotton with white lining. They do not, however, have true black-out lining. As a result, they darken the room (to the extent that hanging any two layers of fabric over your window will darken the room), but they do NOT block out the light. They are decent enough curtains if that's all you want. But if you want your bedroom to be like a cave (as I do), these do not work.

I have these curtains for my bedroom. I have the white curtains and they do a really good job blocking out the light/good privacy. My bedroom is a peacock blue and these curtains help give it that modern edge.
The only drawbacks that I have is that they have to be dry cleaned. That can get expensive. And if you have a highly shedding dog, these might not be for you. I have a Bernese Mountain dog and the fur does stick to the curtains.
