I have bought Company Store comforters for 20 years and have them on all my beds. This winter I bought the oversized extra warmth White Bay comforter. I am disappointed. The cotton cover is stiff and crinkly, I do not like it at all. When the cats walk over the bed you can hear each footstep. When I move all I can hear is the crinkling of the comforter. Also, my comforter does not loft like the one pictured in the catalog. It is pretty flat. I have tried to shake it to redistribute the down some, but it has not worked. I am going to wash it and see if that softens the fabric and fluffs it up a bit. I think this comforter will be relegated to the guest room.

I tried 4 other comforters in various brands and warmth levels and I have finally found the perfect one. I settled on the super light and am very happy. I originally shied away from down, but after having ordered several down alternatives and having all of them be too warm and heavy, I decided to try down. I was wondering if the super light would not be warm enough and also wondered if it would fill out a duvet sufficiently (thinking of a deflated balloon look). We keep our temp at 67 at night (in Idaho) and we are very comfortable. I think this will also be light enough for summer. I have duvet covers from a competitor which are a slightly smaller dimension, but the duvet works wonderfully. The loops at the corners are nice, but I added more because I have a king size duvet and wanted it to be more secure at the top edge. If there is something I don't like about this comforter, it is the crinkly sound, but it is muffled once inside the duvet.

I did a lot of research before purchasing a down comforter, and I am very happy I settled on this one. It has a very high fill power and weight for its size, and it appears very fluffy in person. It also has that "crinkly" noise to it--I know that bothers some people, but I love it! It keeps me warm at night--and granted, it is winter now, but I don't think it is exceedingly warm, even though I bought the "extra warm" weight. Size-wise, I ordered the supersize full because its dimensions matched those of my duvet, and it fits nicely on my queen mattress (~12 in hanging off of each side). Finally, a Badger native myself, it always feels great to support a Wisconsin business--especially one that gives back as much as The Company Store with their "Buy One, Give One" program!

I recieved the Oversize Ultra-Light Comforter on Monday and immediately replaced my bulky old one. I couldn't be happier. I am at the age where I do not require heavyweight down (Women of a certain will understand) and this one fits the bill perfectly. The down does not shift and the drape over the side of the bed is generous. It is somewhat 'crinkly', but I find that appealing. The color is true to what is displayed on line. I will be back again to order another one for my guest room and try their pillows. Thank you for your dedication to quality..!!

I ordered this comforter because my new bed required a huge cover. The 118" king is perfect. However, the color, misty blue, is not quite what I expected. In reality, it's a "misty aqua," not the pure light blue I envisioned. But with a little readjustment as to expectations and redecorating plans, it will work perfectly. The medium warmth is light in weight, but I suspect it will be perfect for our southern winters. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.
