The quality on this is great and it washed nicely. My only issue is with the mermaid head which some people may not care about. It totally flops over unless it can be propped on pillows that are placed straight up so that they reach the head and keep it up like they are in the picture on the website. I do not normally have the pillows so straight up but have to now. or else her head is laying back on the pillows and it looks silly.

It is 100% cotton, nice quilt, well made( have not washed yet), great design to make the kid's bedroom Fun. the best thing is that it goes over the standard pillow and converts it into a character without polyester case or Faux Fur typical for pillow friends.
We got kitty too and it unfortunately 100% polyester.
