Rug is very cute. It was exactly what I was expecting. Just like any wool, looped rug, it does shed in the beginning. My 2 boys, (3 and 1-yr old) love playing on it!!

My kids (5, 3, 1) end up with blue fuzz all over their clothes and legs after playing on this rug. Plus it's not that soft, only the lake, trees, buildings and words are soft, the rest is a scratchy wool. I paid full price for the 5x8 rug and am disappointed. I would not recommend this rug.
