I ordered these for my girls and was nervous after I read the reviews but they are great! They may not be the softest when you get them but they soften up. No idea why someone said the color fades...perhaps they didn't use cold water? My 4 year old loves the nightgown and looks adorable.I will order these next year too.

Pros: These were the only all cotton flannel kids pajamas I could find online. Everywhere I've looked, kids flannel pajamas are made of polyester and they don't allow my kids' skin to breathe at night so they end up sweating like crazy while sleeping in poly. Hence, these pajamas are good because they are warm, but are of natural fibers.
Cons: I suspect because they are cotton, it was probably necessary to specially treat the material with something to make the all cotton pajamas fire retardent (since pajamas are not tight fitting). The result is a not so soft material, but stiff like all the other reviewers said. After washing, it looks even worse because it fades, shrinks, and still feels stiff to the touch. But in all, I'd purchase again because like I said, at least they are all cotton flannels and warm.

Bought the family set. Adult fabric is clearly a different grade, softer to touch vs. kids.
I was very disappointed to find the kids versions faded considerably after one washing. So much so that they no longer match the picture or adult versions. Appear almost pastel.
Also, a button fell off before even hitting the dryer!
I bought 3t, 6, women's small and men's xxl.
Would not purchase again.
